New director for the SLA

School librarian Alison Tarrant will become the new director of the SLA (School Library Association) when Tricia Adams retires in March.
Alison is an experienced professional librarian. A statement from the SLA said, "We are looking forward to working with Alison to carry on Tricia's work with the Association, campaigning for school libraries everywhere and continuing to provide our members with help, support and inspiration." Alison was a recent Honour Listee for the School Librarian of the Year Award, for her work setting up and developing the library at Cambourne Village College, a Free School which forms part of the CAM Trust in Cambridgeshire.
