In this podcast, Jason describes how his relationship with his father helped to inspire We Were Wolves, which focuses on a boy and his father, as well as talking about how his characters developed, issues around mental health, and the wolf motif that runs through his novel. Jason also gives some insights into illustrating the novel and he gives some writing tips.

We are grateful to Mihai, Alex and Elizabeth for interviewing Jason for ReadingZone, and to their school librarian Mrs Georgeson for supporting the event - and special thanks to Jason Cockcroft for taking part in our podcast.
