Poetry Activity!

To celebrate Poetry this October, ReadingZone is asking for your nature-based poetry activities. The prize for the two winners is a set of Nosy Crow's gorgeous poetry books - Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright by Fiona Waters and Britta Teckentrup and The Seed that Grew the Tree by Fiona Waters and Frann Preston-Gannon to the entries we love the most!

Each of these stunning poetry collections offers a poem to share with children for each day of the year, and both books are beautifully illustrated.

You can download the PDF spreads from Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright, below, to help inspire your children's work. To enter the competition to win one set of both books (value 50), we're looking for children's poems or drawings around the themes of 'The Tiger' or 'From a Seed', so this is a great poetry activity to continue your work on poetry through October. The children's poems can be performed and filmed, or they can be written. We will publish the winning poems, performances or drawings on ReadingZone in November.
