Poetry competition for children aged 7-11

To celebrate the release of I Am the Seed that Grew the Tree - a gorgeous collection of nature poems - publisher Nosy Crow is inviting budding poets aged 7-11 across the UK to write a poem inspired by the natural world.
The competition closes on 31st December 2018 and is open to individuals and classes in the UK. Special KS2 resources are available to download via the link below. Any kind of poem can be entered for the competition - haiku or sonnets, rhymes or riddles. Poems can be any form and written by either an individual student or by a class. The winner will be chosen by Fiona Waters, who put together the anthology of poems, I Am the Seed that Grew the Tree. The winner's prize is to have their poem illustrated by award-winning artist Frann Preston-Gannon, who illustrated the collection. Find the entry form and further details via this link:
