Strange Objects by Freddie at Davidson's Mains Primary School - an entertaining story with lively and detailed illustrations and a strong environmental message - has won the Primary Award of the ReadingZone Picture Book Competition, plus the Overall Award.

The judge Steven Lenton said of Strange Objects, "The thought and detail in this book is phenomenal, there is something new to spot every time you read it and you really feel for the characters plight. A sophisticated blend of a moralistic, topical subject entertainingly presented." Davidson's Mains Primary School will now be visited by our judge, Steven Lenton, and will receive a special pack of books from Macmillan Children's Books.
