We are challenging those aged four to 13 years to make a picture book - and you'll have the chance to win some great prizes! The competition closes on Saturday 29th April.
The winning picture book will win a free author event and 50 printed copies of their winning book, and there are prizes for each of the four categories. Children's picture book illustrator and author Neal Layton will choose the winning picture books and the winners will be announced in June. The competion includes four categories: Young Creators (4-6 years); Primary Award (7-11 years); Secondary Award (11-18 years) and Achievement Award (for the school with the most enthusiastic approach to the competition). You can enter the award as an individual, or via your school. You can make your picture book by yourself, with a friend or in a small group, and you can use any media to create your picture book. We will send a certificate to you or your school thanking you for entering the competition and a letter with feedback from the judges. Picture books can also be returned, where stamped, addressed envelopes are provided. Competition Guidelines are available via the links, below, together with entry details for the competition.
