Winners of the Diverse Book Awards 2023 announced

The winners of the Diverse Book Awards 2023 have been announced, with one winner from each of the four categories announced: Picture book, Children's, YA and Adult.

The winners of the 2023 Diverse Book Awards are:


Best Picture Book: Dadaji's Paintbrush by Rashmi Sirdeshpande, illustrated by Ruchi Mhasane (Andersen Press)


Best Children's Book: The Lizzie and Belle Mysteries: Drama and Danger by J.T. Williams, illustrated by Simone Douglas (Farshore)


Best Young Adult Book: When Our Worlds Collided by Danielle Jawando (Simon & Schuster)


​Best Adult Book: One for Sorrow, Two for Joy by Marie-Claire Amuah (Oneworld)
