The World Book Day Award (WoBoD) is back and it is asking schools to create displays that show how your school champions reading - there are 20,000 of books to be won!
This year the World Book Day Award is collaborating with the Flying Fergus series by Sir Chris Hoy, Joanna Nadin and Clare Elsom, published by Piccadilly Press. The winning school will also win a visit from Chris, Joanna and Clare as part of their prize. Other prizes include 5,000, 1,000 and 500 worth of books for your school. Every pupil who takes part in the competition will also receive a signed certificate. To enter, you will need to: - Create a display showing how your school is flying high with reading; you can use any materials you like. - Write a short paragraph (500 words max) explaining the inspiration behind your entry, how you approached the competition, and how your school worked together to create your display. - Upload up to five photos of your display as well as your text via the link, below. The World Book Day 2018 resource packs and book tokens are currently being mailed to schools.
