YALC highlights & schedule announced!

Writing and illustration workshops, the art of narration and unconventional romance will be among the subjects covered at YALC 2017 alongside a host of author appearances including Patrick Ness, Patrice Lawrence, Sophie McKenzie and Non Pratt.

YALC will take place later this month, Friday 28th - Monday 30th July, as part of the London Film & Comic Con. Highlights on Friday 28th July include: 10am - Collaboration with Lucy Ivison and Tom Ellen; Katharine and Elizabeth Corr 11am - Heroines with Melinda Salisbury, Alwyn Hamilton, Amy Alward, Laure Eve, Sophia Bennett 12pm - Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story? with Elizabeth Wein, Catherine Johnson and Juno Dawson 2pm - Writing What You Know with Alex Wheatle, Lisa Williamson, Rachael Lucas, Lisa Heathfield, Hannah Witton Highlights on Saturday 29th July include: 10am - Who runs the world? with Tanya Byrne, Virginia Bergin, Clare Hennessy, Holly Smale 11am - Writing from real events with Phil Earle, Julie Mayhew, Jason Wallace, Will Hill and ND Gomes 1pm - Unconventional romance with Jennifer E Smith, Ayisha Malik, Patrice Lawrence, Paige Toon Myth, magic and fairy-tale with Joanne Harris, Julia Gray, Laura Dockrill, Zoe Marriott, Deirdre Sullivan, Peadar O'Guilin Highlights on Sunday 30th July include: 10am - Fandom with Maggie Harcourt, Chris Russell, Rebecca Denton, Anna Day 11am - Writing and Social Change with Catherine Barter, Nikki Sheehan, Ryan Graudin 1pm - Life Advice with Hannah Witton, Sara Barnard, Holly Bourne, Gemma Cairney Also look out for sessions's with Patrick Ness, Sarah Crossan and Brian Conaghan, E Lockhart and Laini Taylor.
