Bel Mooney
About Author
Bel Mooney was born and brought up in Liverpool. She went to London University, and afterwards became a journalist, writing for magazines and newspapers. She started to write the Kitty series when her own daughter Kitty was a naughty four-year-old, and asked her to write 'a proper book'. Since then the stories about Kitty and her family and friends have become very popular with other children too, lots of whom write to Bel to tell her that they feel just like Kitty! She has also written books for older children, including A Flower of Jet.
