Synopsis

The brand-new, hilariously funny full colour graphic novel series from award winning author and illustrator of the Pizazz series, Sophy Henn. Jam-packed with hilarious stories, this is perfect for fans of Bunny vs Monkey, Dogman and Tom Gates.

Meet the friendly and not-so-friendly residents of Happy Hills, a place where anything can happen and always does! When unicorn Ace stumbles across happy hills, he is surrounded by the residents who are keen to share their spooky stories, plays a town-wide game of IT, all while avoiding GIANT DANGER KITTENS.

"You won't be able to contain your giggles" - Harriet Muncaster;  "Delicious genius from Sophy Henn" - Nadia Shireen;

Praise for Pizazz:  "Blocky comic-style panels, a fire-farting granddad and a conservationist message make for accessible, quirky reading" - The Guardian, Children's Book of the Month.  "Sophy Henn's funny new series [...] a witty and original reminder that superheroes are human too" - The Sunday Times, Children's Book of the Week.  "Sophy Henn's lively, energetic story should be a hit with anyone who finds it hard to fit in." - The Financial Times

Amanda

Happy Hills - Attack of the Giant Danger Kittens is the first in Sophie Henn's new series. The full-page illustrations, comic-strip sequences and quirky typography ensure that the fast-paced humour runs throughout. The blocky, brightly coloured illustrations will appeal to the young reader and, with the dramatic chapter openers, ensure that the page turning pleasure remains all the way through.

Sophie has cleverly combined a huge number of aspects that reluctant readers love. Carefully pitched language to ensure that this action-packed story is easy to follow and hard to put down! The extras at the end of the book are a wonderful addition. I am sure children will have hours of fun following the step by step drawing instructions for the main characters as well as making up a turn for the Happy Hills song.

This would make a wonderful individual reading book for those who enjoy comic or graphic novels. It would be a brilliant addition to any classroom book corner or school library.
