Reviews

Chloe - Age 9

Head Kid tells the story of cheeky prankster, Ryan Ward, and his best bud, Dionna Baxter. Ryan's headteacher has just about lost it with the school, so he leaves a new headteacher to attempt to control the hyperactive children. Unfortunately for many of the mischievous school pupils (AKA Ryan and Dionna), the new head made it extremely clear that absolutely no behaviour under the standard of impeccable will be tolerated, and if somebody even thought about making a silly noise, then further consequences would occur. Well, that threat didn't take long for someone to break. Ryan Ward. After being sent to the infuriated head teacher's office, Ryan decided to carry on making jokes and messing about. But that was his biggest mistake yet! That was when all the trouble began! I really enjoyed this book, as a continuous ripple of humour travelled through the story, as well as interesting sections and laugh out loud phrases. I would rate Head Kid five stars, and recommend it to any interested child.
