Hidden Animals: A board book with peek-through pages

Hidden Animals is a lovely board book that would be perfect for any first book collection. The combination of colours, shapes and animals make this book both an enjoyable read but also an educational one. As the reader, it was easy to follow the pattern of 'Now you see / Then you see ...' and even I enjoyed trying to guess what animal was going to be found based on the colour. Being a board book, it was robust enough to withstand being read by an enthusiastic one year old looking to explore. The use of 'peek through pages' rather than flaps is a strength of this book and makes this even more user friendly. An enjoyable book for very early readers.
