Synopsis

**INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER**  A new reign is coming . . . A lush, epic Ancient Egyptian fantasy trilogy simmering with romance, rebellion, magic and monsters. Perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo, Tahereh Mafi, and Sabaa Tahir.

Princess. Priestess. Rebel. Thief.  Who will sit on the throne when the bloodshed is done?

The kingdom of Khetara is a land divided. The pharaoh is dying, and his enemies are great in number. As rebellion grows and secrets flourish, four strangers must face their destinies.

In the golden capital, Princess Sita is caught in a web of sensuality and deceit, the burden of a treacherous truth weighing heavily on her soul.  At the sacred temple, Neff, a priestess-in-training haunted by prophetic blood-drenched dreams, holds the key to the royal heirs' fates.  To the south, the flames of rebellion ignite as Rae, a farmer's daughter, resists the pharaoh's oppressive rule and inspires an army.  And in the depths of the desert, a tomb robber called Karim stumbles upon a long-buried secret and awakens the monster within . . .

The first book of the Throne of Khetara trilogy.  'A bold and opulent fantasy that glimmers with magic and intrigue!' - Emily Thiede, author of This Vicious Grace

Grace

His Face is the Sun, the first Throne of Khetara book, is set in a world inspired by Ancient Egypt, and is told from the perspective of four different narrators who each influence the story in different ways. They are Sita the Princess, Neff the priestess, Rae the rebel and Karim, the Tomb Robber.

The world they live in is ruled unfairly by a pharaoh as a consequence of a previous war. This causes issues of rebellion and politics to be scattered across their world, which results in the the four characters being brought together through prophecy and fate.

My personal favourite is Neff, due to her young age; her chapters were the most positive and sweet to read. I recommend this book to anyone with an interest in Egyptian mythology.
