Life: The First Four Billion Years

As the title suggests, this book covers the myriad of life forms that have existed on earth since the very beginning. Written by conservation biologist Martin Jenkins and illustrated by Greenaway Medal-winning Grahame Baker-Smith, this is a beautiful, large-format book. The illustrations could be enjoyed by younger children but the text is scientific and specialist, and is aimed at those aged 12 and above.
