A parent and a child go in search of a star but what will happen when they find it out of reach? This adventure story celebrates coming home and shows that sometimes what you are looking for is right under your nose. Katie Cotton has create a beautiful look which tells the story of two bears as they go on the hunt to catch a star. As they travel through the book (over waves, mountains and more), it is clear to see the conversation happening between the two characters. You can't help but become intertwined with their relationship and you can feel the loved shared between mother and child. The repetition used throughout helps the flow of the story, as does the effortless rhyming. This really is a story to be shared on a cold night when snuggled together at bedtime. As you read it, you can't help but feel a warm fuzzy feeling in your stomach which can be hard to achieve. A lovely feel good book with a very sensitive hidden message.
