I'm a big fan of Michael Rosen - I like his funny real-ness (It is a word - honest!) and this book is no exception. Mad in the Back is a car journey that we've all had - infact, we've all been the two children who go 'mad in the back'....and we've all had the Mum who threatens (and then does!) stop the car! The book itself is well written, easy to understand and even has an activity on the back page for children to have a go at. This is a funny book, with fantastic illustrations. It's entertaining for kids and parents alike - my only fear is that it might inspire more children to go 'Mad in the Back' more often!! Brilliant! Picture book, suitable for dyslexic readers / Ages 4+ / Reviewed by Lizi Coombs, teacher
