Many Moons: Learn about the different phases of the moon

A picture book to help explore the phases of the moon. Using black and yellow with white line drawings, this book had all the children captivated on the carpet! I'm not sure if they had ever really noticed the various phases of the moon before but were quick to talk about what the pictures reminded them of. As we are thinking about space and planets this book was a lovely way to begin a talk about the earth and its moon. The non-fiction table describing the moon's phases at the back of the book was a brilliant springboard for this discussion. Picture book / Ages 4+ / Reviewed by Lynnette Voisey, teacher.
