Every child wishes that they had a suit which they could put on and which would turn them in to a super hero - but Marvin actually has one! Space and aliens are topics which will grab children's attention and Marv and the Alien Invasion capitalises on this.
This adventure will capture the imagination of the reader and leave them unable to put the book down. The action is non-stop from beginning to end, with wonderful illustrations which add important details. It is worth spending time focusing on the characters' facial expressions as they give you so much in these illustrations.
The chapters are a good length for early chapter book readers and those who struggle with reading stamina. I will definitely be using this as a discussion focus book for my reading groups as well as having a copy in my classroom for those who would like to enjoy reading it in their time. It is likely to be a firm favourite, as the others in this series are.
