Sue

Perfect for curious minds, Wonder World: The Natural Science of Rain, Rivers and Oceans offers an excellent introduction to the science behind one of the most important resources on earth.

Lovely illustrations help to frame the clearly explained text as the reader discovers all about the wonderful world of water. Starting with an explanation of the forms it can take, it moves on to explaining the water cycle. Key vocabulary is clearly explained within the text, supporting understanding. The book then moves to looking at different bodies of water, both fresh and salt water, and the life which they support as well as other places water can be found, such as in us! The power of water is also explored, both the positive and negative effects, giving plenty to discuss.

The book would make an excellent addition to any class library or topic box to support learning in this area of the curriculum.
