I had no idea there was a gap in the market until this book arrived on my doorstep. It's brilliant! Normally we talk so generally to children about food allergies and why they need to be careful about what they bring in lunch boxes, especially of someone has a serious nut allergy.

No Cheese, Please! introduces the subject very gently and tells the story of a mouse with a dairy allergy. He wants to have a party but the guests bring treats that are not dairy free. He teaches them about all the wonderful things he can eat and the book also includes a yummy dairy-free cake recipe to try.

I can see this being used to explain about food allergies to our youngest children and why we have to be very careful about what we share with each other. A really great idea and perfect for any classroom library. Highly recommended.
