Number Train has fast become my favourite board book of all time! It is so cleverly made and so invitingly presented – and quite possibly the most interactive board book I've ever come across! The book arrives with a sleeve that goes over the top of it. This is to keep the pages of the book together so children can have fun moving it along as if it were a toy train. Just as you think it can't get any better… the wheels actually move around too! This is extremely exciting for little ones and makes the uses of this book so varied!
When your toddler eventually allows you to take off the sleeve and open the book, they’ll uncover even more fun to be had. The entire book folds out to make a train with ten carriages. This is now a huge train for our little ones to move across the floor.
Each carriage is devoted to teaching our little ones about a particular number from 1 to 10 with the aid of a comical 'lift the flap' element which represents that number with the most unusual passengers on the train. For example, we meet three 'eager elephants' and four 'posing poodles' - there is oodles of fun to be had! Just to add yet another dimension to this innovative board book, it can also be kept as a book with turning pages.
The diverse uses of this book make it the most perfect present for a toddler or a perfect companion on a trip away as it will keep your toddler engaged for long periods of time. I cannot express my love of this book enough - I've already bought copies for my soon-to-be-parent friends!
