Cat is a stickler for rules: cats sit on mats, hares sit on chairs and, however irritating, dogs must sit on frogs.
That's until Frog decides to change the status quo ...
But will Cat want to sit on gnats instead of cushy mats? Will spiders like sitting on gliders? Will whales like sitting on nails? And, most importantly, where is FROG going to sit?
\"This is a gigglingly delightful book, a perfect match of words and pictures to entertain again and again.\" Daily Mail

Oi Dog is a lively and fun sequel to Oi Frog. In this story we see the Frog asserting his authority and deciding how the animals should be! In Gray's usual fashion, humourous rhyming words are used to explain what all the different animals should sit on and hats off to them they've gone to great lengths to find good rhyming words - I didn't even know what Gnus were? But the story progresses really well and in class it is a great one for looking at alternative rhymes. This is a great book to use with early phonics where rhyming and chanting are very important in developing language. I thought the ending of this book was very funny where the Frog ends up sitting on a sun Lounger! As with all the Gray books, the exploration of language is excellent and great examples to use with children. I'd highly recommend this and any of Kes Grays books - they will be loved by children and adults alike. Picture book / Ages 4+ / Reviewed by Marie Berry, teacher.
