Synopsis

Everyone knows you should always say sorry when you make a mistake. But when Clare forgets this very important rule (OOPS!), things spiral wildly out of control . . .

Suddenly, the consequences are bigger, bolder and stranger than Clare could ever have imagined - with dragons, trolls, polar explorers and a whole flotilla of extremely furious fishermen standing between her and putting things right.

A riotous, fast-paced adventure that proves one small word can make a very big difference, this is the perfect picture book for sparking laughter, conversations and repeat reads.

A laugh-out-loud picture book about the power of saying sorry! Good manners have never been so much fun!  From the bestselling, award-winning author of You Must Bring a Hat and I Really Want the Cake (shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize), and illustrated by the creator of Think Big by Kes Grey.

Lauren

OOPS! Is the hilarious tale of Clare, a little girl who makes A LOT of mistakes; you see, she is very clumsy! However, Clare has a problem. Instead of apologising for all that she does, she just says 'Ooops' - and every time Clare says 'Ooops', something happens to her . . . something out of the ordinary. As the story goes on, her adventures get a little weirder . . .

I think the concept of this story is brilliant and it provides a great learning tool for children and the importance of saying sorry - although the outcomes for not saying sorry may be slightly different in real life!

The pace of the story is great and hilarious to read aloud, with the addition of the fabulous illustrations. I am really looking forward to sharing this with my class and adding it to the reading corner.
