Reviews

Michelle

Poo! What? Where? written by Mike Rampton and illustrated by Gareth Conway is our new favourite poo-related picture book. When I saw it had poo in the title, I just knew that it was going to be a popular choice in my household. In fact, it was so popular that we sat and read the entire book as soon as it arrived!

The pages in this book are carefully crafted with bright, funny illustrations and small captions of text, which invite the reader in. Each page in the book, covers a poo-related topic, such as Prehistoric Poo and What Can We Do With Poo? The informative pages are brimming with facts and, despite us already owning a few poo books, we were able to learn lots of new and exciting facts.

This book especially appealed to the boys in my year one class who just love anything to do with poo. During free time, I have noticed the children reaching for this book, eager to explore it more. The illustrations had them giggling and the facts opened up further scientific discussions and questions. They especially loved the page about poo in space!

With so many facts and such detailed illustrations, this is a book which can be enjoyed again and again. A must have for classrooms everywhere!
