The Reggie Rabbit series is the perfect combination of narrative and graphic novel which will keep the young chapter book reader from beginning to end. Perfect for any library, book corner or reading study group, this second book is every bit as engaging as the first.

There are clear links back to pirate stories throughout this adventure but the twists, turns and clues to spot in the story are fantastically engaging. The highly illustrated nature of this text allows you to be fully emersed in their world and it is a book which I had to read from cover to cover as I needed to know what happened. This is a wonderful series and I would highly recommend reading both books in this series so far. I am hoping that there will be more to follow next year.

Reggie Rabbit: The Ghost of Seagull Rock is the second book about Reggie Rabbit and his best friend Pipsquart. They have a new mystery to solve and another member of their group, Pipsquart's old friend Kai. Together the three friends do all they can to find out if The Ghost Of Seagull Rock is real. Who is trying to scare the seagull families and why?
This book leads you on a clue finding mission through it's beautifully illustrated pages, which include a mix of cartoon and illustrated novel. Can you find the clues and solve the mystery before Reggie and his friends?
This is a fun tale of friendship and following your instinct. My eight-year-old loved this book so much she recommended it to her Nana, who had to take it home and read it. In school, I would recommend this as a great home reader for ages 8+, and it would be a good book to read to a Year 3 or 4 class at the end of the day. Will the class work out what's going on? Can they suggest ideas to help the animals?
I am looking forward to the next addition in this series.
