The snakes are back, and this time, there's work to be done! Hisssssssssssssh goes the sound of the brakes.

Our colourful, wriggly friends slide into their trucks and roll out slow. They're driving diggers and bulldozers and cranes. There's even a food truck at lunch time; today's special, Ant Tacos! But no time for rest - there's a time crunch! The snakes band together to get the job done, but what are they building? And will the hamsters be allowed to join the fun?

Reviews

Samantha

The snakes are back and this time they are at work and operating a variety of construction vehicles - bulldozers, diggers, dump trucks and more. This story gives the readers a quick look into the world of construction whilst introducing them to a range of new vocabulary.

The children enjoyed guessing what they though the snakes were building and were delighted by the end result. The children remembered seeing the earlier story about Snakes on a Train and were therefore able to relate the story to other books they have read, which is a key skill.

The illustrations are bold and simplistic, lending themselves to further discussions about colour and shape. This story fuelled the children's imaginations as they thought of a range of other things that the snakes could build.
