The third book in the wickedly funny series for ages six and up from the creator of Where Bear?, Pass It On and the Pom Pom series, with colour illustrations throughout.
Hi! I'm Jeanie - still 7 3/4 years old, and back for another adventure with my BRILLIANT grandma BAD NANA.
There's a local winter talent show, and the whole town is SO excited. Especially as the SPECTACULAR Bobby Trulove is in charge. He's an old friend of BAD NANA's and he's quite, erm, dramatic!
The day before the show, a freak weather storm hits, and leaves the town snowed in. Can BAD NANA save the show?
The third instalment in the wickedly funny series, from superstar author and illustrator Sophy Henn
Bad Nana: That's Snow Business is the wickedly hilarious third book in the Bad Nana series by Sophie Henn. This is a chapter book which includes large black and white (and pink) illustrations on every page and which uses a variety of fonts and print sizes to engage the reader. The eponymous heroine of the story adores sparkles, twinkles and sequins and is the proud owner of a fluffy pink cat called Liberace. Bad Nana may be getting old now, but she has a not-so-secret past as a member of the SAS, an airhorn wielding football fan, a jet pilot and in show business on cruise ships! So when seven-and-three-quarter-year-old Jeanie, her friends Marcy and Wilf, and (unfortunately) her completely awful little brother, Jack, decide to audition for the Winter Wonderland Variety Show, and their school is closed for a snow day, they pop round to Bad Nana's for some advice on their very sparkly good old song 'n dance routine (with finishing faces). Initially, the rehearsals for the Winter Wonderland Variety Show appear to go well... but gradually, nearly all the acts drop out, until there is no variety left in the Variety Show. Can Jeanie and her friends save the day? I very much enjoyed reading Bad Nana: That's Snow Business and would strongly recommend it to children aged seven and up. It has been an extremely popular addition to our school library. 192 pages / Ages 6+ / Reviewed by Mandy Abel

My daughter and I are big fans of Bad Nana and her attitude, ability to solve problems and her style. When the town announces The Winter Wonderland Variety Show, everyone comes together to make this a brilliant show. Jeanie and her friends plan a dance routine with the help of Bad Nana. When Bad Nana introduces the kids to her friend Bobby Trulove, things take a different turn for the show. Bad Nana and Bobby have a razzle dazzle history and a rivalry is coming out, making the rest of the town feel unwelcome in the show. Suddenly the show is all about Bad Nana and Bobby. No other acts are good enough for them and the show looks as though it will be cancelled. It is up to Jeanie and her friends to save the show. They must first make Bad Nana and Bobby realise they need to stop behaving badly. This is another hilarious Bad Nana story from the brilliant Sophy Henn. Certain to entertain young readers, this will make you smile and giggle! 192 pages / Ages 6+ / Reviewed by Erin Hamilton
