A funny, read-aloud farmyard tale about a very greedy goat from award-winning illustrator Petr Horacek. Goat has had enough of eating grass. She wants to try something different - the dog's food, the pig's potatoes and even the farmer's pants. But things go wrong in this hilarious, but cautionary, farmyard tale from the Kate Greenaway-Medal shortlisted illustrator described by the Washington Post as \"the thinking tot's Eric Carle\".

This book has bright, clear illustrations that are eye-catching and entertaining. Goat is hungry, he eats nearly everything he comes across - the dog's food, the cats milk...even the farmer's pants! She then doesn't feel well, goes funny colours, does a big burp (!) and returns to her greedy self! This is a cute story for young children, but lacks a real plot to interest readers beyond about 5.... there is plenty of humour from the things that goat decides to eat, but no real conclusion - something older readers may struggle with. An entertaining read to share with babies and toddlers who will enjoy the charming illustrations.
