Follow a herd of zebras on an epic migration across the African plains. As the sun beats down on the scorched wilderness, these brave zebras trundle on. Who knows what dangers lie ahead or what the herd may find at the end of this extraordinary journey?
The Journey, Nature's Greatest Adventure is a wonderful story of migration. It is simply told to allow it to be accessible for children from a young age. The illustrations are wonderfully detailed which will draw children in.
The children that I shared it with spent a long time looking at the images and discussing what was going on; the language that it encouraged was wonderful. It was a good discussion starter for looking at how animals survive and comparing humans to others, which is a focus in KS1 and 2 science. A definite new favourite in the book corner.
