The Lonely Christmas Tree

This is a lovely rhyming book that tells the story of a lonely tree that is given a new home, by a red-coated man no less, and finds friendship at Christmas. The illustrations are enchanting and the story made me feel very festive; it would be a great one to share with readers of all ages. This book would be an asset to any classroom at Christmas, to talk about the true meaning of the holiday and the stylised drawings would be a great base for any art lessons.
