Reviews

Linda

I have been waiting a while for the conclusion of the magical and thrilling Legends of the Sky series and wow, it's been worth the wait...

In The Pirate's Dragon, we meet Serena and Raff who live on separate islands, each believing the other to be sworn enemies. Forced together in dramatic circumstances, they become unlikely friends while caring for their young dragons. But when Serina's home, family, and all the dragons of Arcosi are threatened, they have to put their trust in each other. However, when so many stories have been told about each other's people, can they really do this? And if they cannot come together, how many of Argosi's dragons will die?

Once again, Liz Flanagan has through her wonderful imagination brought these magical, fantasy creatures alive. Through her eyes, the reader gets to bring up and care for a baby dragon and feel the heartache of losing one. They get to meet new likeable characters and revisit favourites from the previous two books. However, the way it has been so cleverly written means this book could also be read as a stand-alone.

The Pirate’s Dragon is full of action, adventure, trust, relationships and most importantly full of beautifully described dragons. This is a thrilling rollercoaster ride of a story, a perfect conclusion to the series, with perhaps a hint of a spin off. Fingers crossed, as who doesn't love a dragon fantasy story.
