This beautifully illustrated, large format book is an absolute delight. It explores some of the many ways people dance as well as the joy this form of expression brings. Starting with 'Entrance', a section about set design, lighting and costume design, the book then takes the reader through seven 'stages', each looking at a different genre of dance. It explains the history and development of styles such as ballet, exploring the costume and features of each, as well as discussing famous performances and performers.

Welcome to the Arts: Dance offers fascinating insights into different dances from all over the world. Plentiful illustrations accompany each subject with the sub-heading 'Now Showing', offering specific information relating to the image. There is so much to enjoy and learn in these pages, making it a perfect book for giving and sharing - a wonderful gift for those who love dance, performance, music, traditions and customs!
