Watch Polly Faber read from Recycling Day as she explains what happens on bin collection day.

Recycling Day: What Happens to the Things We Throw Away, follows our recycling through its different processes and shows us how things are re-used, as well as what happens to our rubbish.

Recycling Day is a fun, friendly picture book about recycling and rubbish - perfect for children aged 3-6.  From Holly's lorry to Stan's metal-can machine, discover all the busy people, vehicles and machines needed to recycle and dispose of our rubbish - and find out how we can all reuse our things more to make it . . . not-for-the-bin day!

Recycling Day is part of Polly's Understanding Our World series, which also includes Building A Home, which is all about the people and machines involved in construction work, and Special Delivery - A Book's Journey Around the World, which covers some of the different vehicles and processes involved in the transportation of everyday things we take for granted. All Through the Night is about the jobs people do at night.
