Synopsis
Who's ever heard of a flying penguin? Clive Penguin is back, and, affronted by the narrator's praise for 'majestic' swooping seagulls, is determined to take to the sky himself. He's going to fly! Who says penguins can't do it? A funny, deadpan tale of reaching for your dreams and ignoring naysayers.

Do you like penguins? Well I do, so I enjoyed reading Clive Penguin Learns to Fly, Sort of. Clive Penguin, who some readers might have met in his earlier Clive Penguin adventure, decides to take on on the challenge of flying; something we know penguins cannot do as they are actually flightless birds! However, Clive is determined that he can!
Penguin Clive sticks out from the crowd with his bright orange hat and children will love finding him in the gorgeous illustrations. Penguin Clive gets into conversation with the reader, asking us if penguins or seagulls are best? Clive wants to be like the seagulls and fly and has some imaginative ideas about how to do so!
This is a beautiful book which engages the reader straight away. The story is about determination and not giving up on living your dream. Even though penguins can't fly, Penguin Clive has a go and "flies through the air" for a short period of time! And as we know "anything can happen in a book!" A great book and if you love penguins as much as I do you will enjoy this story!
