Synopsis

When a vegetarian vampire moves into his dream castle, he soon discovers he has an unwanted house guest . . .

Colin's new castle is perfect in every way - apart from the DUCK.  The duck pops up when Colin's in the bath. When he's watching telly. When he's ON THE LOO. QUACK!  But where there's a will, there's a way. Colin has a PLAN. Will he succeed in banishing Duck from his castle and leading the bird-free life that he dreams of?

Reviews

Louise

Colin's dream has come true. Something that every vampire wants and that's a castle of his own.  There is just one problem.  A duck!

Colin's Castle is a simple but funny story about two very different characters who in time, with tolerance and acceptance, learn to live together in peace and harmony and with just a little bit of friendship, too.

This is a great story to share in Reception or Year 1 to teach children how different we all are.  How different people like to do different things and how, in the first instance, it may appear that friendship is something that simply is not possible.

'Never judge a book by it cover'.  Well this book teaches us exactly that. Swain has delivered a fun book full of frolic and friendship.
