Destroy the Day is the final book from the magnificent Defy the Night series. Believe me when I say that, when you pick up this book, be prepared for heart-rending twists and turns that will keep you totally engaged until the very last page...
Prince Corrick is, along with rebel leader Lochlan, being held captive by the vicious Oren Crane. He will need to work with his one time enemy Lochlan in order to get back to Tessa and make sure that Oren doesn't get to rule Ostriary. Will they be able to put the past behind them and work together? An island away, Tessa is heartbroken and angry as she believes Corrick is dead. With only Rocco by her side, how are they to find a way back to Kandala? Who else can she trust on this island? Meanwhile in Kandala, Harristan has been dethroned and on the run. He's struggling to unite the rebels in his fractured kingdom, but finds support - and maybe more - in unexpected places.
Destroy The Day has 543 is full of power, intrigue, loyalty, politics, rebellion and romance that will have any 13+ reader glued to its pages. The author, who clearly knows how to engage her target audience, has developed her wonderful characters throughout the series and successfully added new ones in order to keep the readers interest. This has been a breathtaking series that has grabbed my attention, put me through a range of emotions and then stolen my heart.
