Varying from culture to culture, dragons appear in many forms, representing many things. This captivating book looks at how this fantastic creature appears in mythology across the world. Divided into four sections - Asian Dragons, European Dragons, Dragons of the World and Dragon Discoveries - the book is pack with fascinating information, stories based on original myths and stunning illustrations.


The first three sections start with maps, showing where the different dragons come from. The role played by different dragons and their significance is clearly explained, with differences in appearance and characteristics. A whole range of dragons is include from the well known Wyvern and Naga to lesser known Amphiptere and Aido-Hwedo. Each is beautifully illustrated with evocative images and rich use of colour. There is even a section at the end showing how to draw a dragon and design your own!


The final section, 'Dragon Discoveries', looks at eggs and jewels connected with these creatures before introducing some 'living dragons' and 'dragon science', creatures who share some of the amazing skills attributed to dragons!
