Are you ready to see fruit as you've never seen it before? Imagine If… Fruits! appeals wonderfully to a child's imaginative mind as they see fruit become all kinds of exciting things. Did you know that kiwis make great eye masks? Did you know that a banana is the perfect shape for a slide? Did you know how well a watermelon can work as an umbrella?

Imagine If... Fruits! would be a great support for parents or care givers who are trying to encourage little ones to eat more healthily. It demonstrates that if we think outside of the box and imagine the fruit is something else, snack times can become more enjoyable and perhaps more successful too! I know my child is more willing to eat something that is the shape of a familiar object… but we don’t have endless time to warrant these wishes!

This book has motivated me to engage in talk about what the fruit could be whilst we are eating it. Not only have snack times become more successful, but the range of vocabulary my child is hearing during this time makes snack time feel like an even bigger accomplishment!

Despite me personally taking away so much from this book, admittedly my daughter’s favourite parts of this book is what she can actively engage with. She absolutely loves spotting the hidden ant on each page. This has really encouraged her to look at the finer details of illustrations… although she does hope to find an ant everywhere she goes now so I feel this book should come with an ant obsession warning! Of course, the push and pull slides are great fun too, and have been explored over and over and over again!

This uplifting book is a great one to invest in this summer as it gives all the summer vibes with its pineapple rubber rings and kiwi swimming goggles.
