Synopsis

The second book in the mischievous, laugh-out loud and charming Adventures of a Postmouse series from a beloved and bestselling illustrator.

It's the day of the annual Fastest Feathers race in Little Ditch, but Marty Moose can't stop to join in the fun - he's got a very important parcel to deliver. The prize is a beautiful shining golden egg, and it's got to reach the finish line before the contestants do!

But that's not the only twist in the tail: Marty and Nibbles have to contend with ferret bandits who want the prize for themselves, and a pair of cheating ducks in a terrible case of fowl play.

Maria

In Marty Moose: The Great Stamp-ede, Marty has a very important job to do: he must deliver the eggstra-special prize to the finish line before the race ends. It sounds simple. This action-packed story keeps readers eager to discover what will happen next as Marty encounters obstacles, bandits, unexpected challenges, and several close calls along the way.

Full of playful language and humour, and supported by striking cartoon-style illustrations in black, white, and red, the story is highly engaging for young readers. It would make a fantastic addition to any classroom, offering many opportunities for discussion, including making predictions, exploring character development, and analysing plot twists. This is a lively and memorable book that children will not want to miss.
