Max & Chaffy is the new series from Jamie Smart, creator of Bunny vs. Monkey. What a Delicious Discovery follows Max and Chaffy on a new adventure to Food Island to help their baker friend, Crumbles.

However, when they reach the island chaos ensues, as today is the day of the big baking competition and all the cooks cannot cook and have lost their inspiration! It is up to Max and Chaffy to save the competition and help their friend.

The story follows their journey throughout the different villages on Food Island with amazing illustrations and interactive elements throughout. These books are brilliant for new readers or fans of comic-style books. This kept me engaged and laughing throughout.

I am a big fan of graphic novels and I know my class are BIG fans too of both this genre and Jamie Smart's work. This will be a great addition to the class library and I'm looking forward to getting some more. But be careful not to read on an empty stomach – it will make you very hungry!
