Synopsis

Lover of nuts. Hero of the Forest. A graphic novel series by Luke Seguin-Magee with supersized heart, adventure, and laughs! The perfect read for fans of The Bad Guys.Once upon a time, happy creatures roamed a peaceful patch of forest in the wilderness. They climbed trees, gathered nuts, and made cute squeaky sounds. Then KABLAM! A radioactive meteor fell from the sky and Crater's Edge, an unusual community of mutant woodland creatures, was born. Some residents are good. Some are not so good. And one is best of all . . . SUPERSIZED SQUIRREL! A little squirrel with the power to grow SUPERSIZED.

In Supersized Squirrel Attack of the Zombears, Supersized Squirrel and Blaze Bunny are called on to investigate a strange occurrence in the forest. But with a scary movie fresh in their minds and a storm blowing through the trees can they find the courage they need to face danger?

Reviews

Amanda

What's not to love? The very first thing that you are greeted by is the heroes page and the FART (villains) page! Well if children were in any doubt that they wanted to read on, they are clear at this point that this is the book for them! The giggles that you hear the moment that children open the book is just magical.

Supersized Squirrel: Attack of the Zombears is an action-packed graphic novel filled with fast paced, fun adventure. Along with its imaginative creatures and plot it follows themes of kindness, friendship and team work.

The relationships between the characters draw you in to the adventure leading to the reader constantly wanting to read on. Luke has managed to tell an incredible story using very few words on a page thanks to his incredible artistry and accurate word choice.

The Supersized Squirrel stories have helped lots of my reluctant readers begin their reading for pleasure journey and I know the Attack of the Zombears will be no different.
