Supersized Squirrel and the Great Wham-o-Kablam-o! is the brilliant first book in Luke Seguin-Magee's new graphic novel series. His love of creating stories of friendship and kindness mixed with weird adventure has been a triumph with these wonderful woodland characters.

All was quiet in the forest until a meteor crashed leaving the forest full of animals with superpowers. Some of the animals use their powers to get up to no good but not Sonny the Squirrel. Will the supersized squirrel and his friend Blaze Bunny's best be enough to save the day and become true heroes?

The action packed, clear and colourful illustrations throughout this graphic novel will ensure that even the most reluctant reader remains engaged. Carefully selected language allows the narrative to develop through the use of speech bubbles.

This wonderful book will be a firm favourite in our classroom book corners and library. In a time when we are encouraging pupils to read for pleasure and turn away from screens, this book will be a perfect addition to stride forward in our mission.
