The 'Little People, Big Dreams' series helps readers discover the lives of outstanding people from all walks of life. From designers to artists to scientists and in this case, athletes. All of the people with whom these books are written about have achieved amazing things, yet each began life as a child with a dream.
This addition of the popular series focuses on Megan Rapinoe, the star of the USA Women's Football Team. Megan has contributed to not only the world of sport but also the wider world as she uses her platform to promote equality between gender and sexuality.
The text takes the reader through the highlights of Megan's life, from the very beginning and being born 11 seconds before her twin, to achieving sporting greatness with Football World Cup and Olympic gold medal wins. The books shares the sacrifices made to achieve these great moments in life and the battles she faced growing up.
This text could prove to be inspirational to girls, and boys, who may be facing similar periods of confusion and acceptance of who they are.
