This is a fantastic book that takes children on an adventure through the woods to find natural treasures.
Published by Nosy Crow in collaboration with the National Trust, each page has charming illustrations that capture three children's walk through the woods discovering various things, from prickly pine cones to helicopter-like seeds. Most of the pages there is also a 'Can you see..' challenge, which invites children to look even closer at the pictures.
This book is packed full of information that is easy to digest and understand, it introduces the names of many different varieties of plants and includes different things to 'spot' on your own adventures... types of bark, trees and seeds for example.
This would be a fantastic resource to use in Education settings - particularly as part of forest school provision. You could make treasure hunts from them, ask children to choose things in the book to then find outside... there are endless possibilities!
