Thieves' Gambit is a deadly competition for the world's best thieves, where the winner is granted one wish... When 17-year-old Rosalyn Quest, who has been raised by a legendary family of thieves, receives an invitation to compete in the Thieves' Gambit, she finds herself in a situation where she has no choice but to enter and win; her mother's life depends on it. However, Ross is a girl that has been taught to trust no one. How will she fair amongst backstabbing competitors, including a old friend/enemy and a drop dead gorgeous boy?
This is a high action, fast paced, dynamic story that delivers unexpected twists and turns that you just can't predict. The book is suitable for the 13+ reader and would also be great for intervention groups and book clubs due to the many discussion opportunities.
The author has created great characters who are each driven to win the Thieves' Gambit for their own personal reasons and, as the plot develops, the reader gets to know more about them and the secrets that they all hold. If you are looking for a book that will carry you away, then this is definitely for you as it's fast-paced and dramatic until the very end. Hopefully book two will be out soon as I'm eager to continue the adventure!
