Triangle

Triangle is a funny picture book of a two-dimensional Triangle who decides to play a trick on his two-dimensional friend, Square. On his way to Square's house, we learn a little bit about size and non conforming shapes (stones and boulders in this case) which is great for early years. When Triangle arrives at Square's house he tries to scare him but it doesn't go quite as planned. This is a great little story about shapes, spacial awareness and friendship. Definitely one that the kids find funnier than the adults...but surely that's the point. Klassen's (Lemony Snicket's The Dark and the his own Hat trilogy) illustrations are so simple but perfect for this. 50 pages / Ages 3+ / Reviewed by Fiona Dalu-Chandu, school librarian.
