The domestic pet edition of the 'would you rather...' series allows children to learn more about the pets that they may share their house with or wish they did. Following the same model as others in the series, children are faced with a choice of questions where they control the direction of the book. There is no right or wrong answer and children will enjoy reading a book in a different way. The answers are written in short paragraphs and have engaging pictures to support them. Covering everything from dogs and cats to lizards and gerbils, there really is something for all pet lovers in this book and chances for even adults to learn something new. In class, I could see this book and series being used as a way for children to conduct research into a report on animals. 24 pages / Ages 5+ / Reviewed by Kyle Matravers, teacher.
