Anyone who loves cats will instantly fall in love with this fabulous book! C is for Cat captures all the joy of our feline friends in an adorable alphabet of their antics and activities!

Three very different curious cats gaze out from the front of the book and then peek round the corner of the cover, leading you into the book. Each letter of the alphabet highlights a cat characteristic with an accompanying illustration. The rhyming text is purr-fect for reading aloud and offers plenty to discuss and enjoy along the way!.

There is the added delight of realising that the book also contains an alphabet of cats! At the end, there are pages showing each of the cats who have starred in the book, arranged in alphabetical order by their breed. Any cat lover will enjoy browsing through these, identifying the familiar and investigating the new! Children will enjoy spotting the types cats which they know and perhaps adding any which are not mentioned here, perhaps substituting Burmese for Bengal or Manx for Maine Coon!

C Is for Cat! is a lovely, playful picture book that will be an instant hit with cat lovers. The rhyming text gives it a brilliant rhythm when read aloud, making it really enjoyable to share, while Sara Ogilvie’s wonderfully expressive illustrations bring the cats and their personalities to life. Full of feline fun, humour and charm, it’s a delightful celebration of all things cat – and the rhyme was definitely a highlight for me.
