Bizzy Bear Whizzy Wheels: Train is a lovely story filled with lots of different animals. The front cover has moveable train wheels - moveable parts are always a winner with young children. It's also a good opportunity to help them to develop their fine motor skills as they spin them round.

The story involves Bizzy Bear driving a train with lots of different animals on each page. The colourful illustrations will be attractive to young readers and the busy nature of the pictures gives them plenty to explore and discuss. As always, top marks from me for the fact that it's a rhyming book. It really helps stories to flow and engage children of all ages.

One thing I really like about this book is the colourful pop out questions that appear to prompt the adult who is reading with the child. It will help to give confidence to anyone who needs it and maybe isn't sure what kind of questions to ask to help to quiz their understanding even at a basic level.

The train also visits lots of different landscapes in the book - countryside, city and seaside. This is another good discussion starter as slightly older children can talk about what they can see in each and begin to compare them.
